Walsall under-14s matched Cannock for the first half an hour and came close to taking the lead when Robbie Edgar (Aldridge) saw a shot turned over. Cannock finally produced a well-worked goal to take the lead shortly before half-time. Another cross beat the Walsall defence on the stroke of half-time. Walsall applied some pressure in the second half and Kieran Price (Shire Oak) saw his cross shot go just wide. James Middleton (Walsall Academy) pulled a goal back for Walsall and with fifteen minutes left Walsall pushed for an equaliser. Cannock struck on the counter to put the game beyond Walsall in the last minute.
