Press Reports
Walsall U-12 0 Luton U-12 3 - 09.04.05
A squad of 20 players was unable to prevent a strong Luton side
wrapping up this friendly with three well-taken goals. With the side virtually
changing every twenty minutes Walsall found it difficult to contain a
well-drilled side.
Wolverhampton U-12 4 Walsall U-12 2 - 26.03.05
The Walsall under-12 management team is in the process of trialling possible
players for next season's under-13s by playing a series of friendly games. They
started with this tough game against Wolves. Walsall's goals came from Alex
Turner (St. Thomas More) and Dan Milani (Barr Beacon).

Walsall
under-12s finished
their West Midlands programme with a disappointing defeat against a Brierley
Hill and Dudley side still chasing a semi-final spot. Keeper Ryan Cheshire kept
the score within limits with some good saves and a goal from Ryan Owen
(Willenhall) gave Walsall brief hope after they went 2-0 down. There were good
performances for Walsall from Tom Hurdman (St. Francis of Assisi) and Jake
Keyworth (St. Thomas More).

Walsall
U-12 1
- 2.02.05
In
the under-12 game Stoke were well on top from the start and took the lead midway
through the first half.
Walsall
then started to produce chances themselves and James
Quarry (St. Thomas More) had chances to equalise before the break.
Walsall
got the
equaliser in the second half when Dan Milani (Barr Beacon) ran through to slot
the ball past the keeper.
Walsall
keeper
Ryan Cheshire (Barr Beacon) made some good saves and Josh Pammengter (Arthur
Terry), Sam Mitchelson (St. Francis), Jake Keyworth (St. Thomas More) and Jamie
Stanton (Blue Coat) performed heroics in front of him as Stoke piled on the
pressure. Eventually the winner came but Sam Plimmer (Sneyd) almost equalised
near the end.

Walsall
U-12 8 - 8.01.05
Walsall
under-12s
were involved in an amazing game at
Telford
recording
their first win of the season in some style. Both sides found the high winds
difficult but
Walsall
’s James Quarry (St. Thomas More) caused the
Telford
defence
all sorts of problems. Dan Milani (Barr Beacon) put
Walsall
in front
midway through the first half but within a minute
Telford
were
level. Quarry put
Walsall
back in
front before the break. Josh Pammengter (Arthur Terry) increased
Walsall
’s lead
following a Daniel Aston (Brownhills) corner and a minute later Quarry scored
his second.
Telford
quickly pulled a goal back and then hit the bar
before Jonathan Gould (Blue Coat) set up Matthew Rooke (Pool Hayes) for
Walsall
’s
fifth.
Telford
pulled it
back to 5-3 before Sam Plimmer (Sneyd) popped up for the sixth
Walsall
goal.
Aston put
Walsall
beyond
reach before Quarry completed his hat trick.

Walsall
U-12 0 - 13.11.04
Walsall
under-12s are still looking for
their first win of the season despite yet another good performance in this ESFA
divisional cup game. Team plans were disrupted when keeper Ryan Cheshire (Barr
Beacon) was injured in the warm-up and Jamie Stanton (Blue Coat) had to don the
keeper’s gloves. James Quarry (St. Thomas More),
Walsall
’s only goal scorer so far, was
also injured and
Walsall
spurned several good scoring
opportunities during the first half. The home side scored midway through the
first half with their first scoring chance. A second goal early in the second
half wrapped things up for luckless
Walsall
. One crumb of comfort for
Walsall
was a good debut from Josh
Pammengter (St. Francis of
Assisi
) at the heart of the defence.
