great day!! I play for Elmore Green and had a great time even though we lost in
the final to Busill Jones! It was a nice atmosphere for a final as some of us
knew each other and hope that they do well next week.

Sixteen Walsall primary schools battled it out at Millfield
School in Brownhills for the Walsall East and West cups. In the east section
Park Hall and Blackwood qualified for the final after winning their groups.
Blackwood had to play Pheasey Park Farm in a golden goal play-off after both
sides topped their group with identical records. Josh Pickard scored the vital
golden goal for Blackwood. Park Hall then forced them into extra-time in the
final as neither side could find the net. Alex Davis popped up to score another
golden goal winner for Blackwood. In the west final a Sean Broadhurst goal was
enough for Busill Jones to beat Elmore Green. Both Blackwood and Busill Jones
will compete in the West Midlands county final of the ESFA under-11 6-a-side
competition at Brownhills School on Saturday.
In the county final of the under-11 6-a-side competition
Elmore Green primary school replaced Busill Jones as one of Walsall’s
representatives and found it tough going losing two and drawing one of their
group games. Blackwood fared a little better drawing their first two games but
losing to the eventual winners Monkspath from Solihull.
How the teams qualified for the Primary
Championship Part 1 Finals Day. Meadow View and Christchurch replaced Lindens
and New Invention who were unable to attend.
