Crisis at Walsall SFA - If it is to continue next season we need teachers to step forward to run it. Further details below.

Secondary Cup Finals; Streetly Sports College has won 3 and shared one of the 6 secondary cup finals.   Year 7 - Streetly 2 Barr Beacon 1;    Year 8 - Streetly 2 Shelfield 0;   Year 9 - Aldridge 1 Streetly 1 (a.e.t. trophy shared);   Year 10 -  St Francis 1 Joseph Leckie 0;   Year 11 - Streetly 2  Shelfield 0;   Year 12/13 - Shelfield 1 Pool Hayes/Sneyd 0.   Thanks to Pelsall Villa F.C.. where all the finals were staged, and to Scott Cooksey our cup secretary.

Walsall Under-11s give Solihull a fright in the Burton Shield semi-final before going down 4-2 after extra-time.

Walsall SFA faces a staffing crisis for next season. Will it even still exist?
Walsall SFA is facing a real staffing crisis for next season as no nominations have been received for the vacant posts on council.
Several long-serving members have retired in recent years and they have not been replaced by young members, especially as team managers. We have had some new team managers but most have stuck it for only one or two seasons before leaving for new jobs or because of family commitments. It has been a long time since Walsall SFA has had town teams operating at all age levels.

More worryingly there have been no nominations for chairman, secretary and treasurer. This season all 3 jobs have virtually been done by one person who is determined to take a back seat as a free bus pass approaches.

Schools will be receiving another letter about this from our President (over 50 years in schools' football, so you can work out his approximate age). If you are interested please get in touch. If you know anyone who can be 'invited' to take up a role, get in touch. Please don't wait for someone else to do it.

Primary Division 2 Final; Castlefort 2 Walsall Wood 0.

Primary Division 1 Final; Blakenall Heath 3 Cooper and Jordan 1.
